Self portrait Study
8th grade artists learned about proper proportioning on a face. Once they were comfortable with placement, we practiced creating realistic features to add to their portrait study using shading and highlights to make these features look 3D.
I love how the shading makes the features pop and the blending just make everything that much more realistic. I'm also impressed with how this artist added some shine in the eyes to show some reflection off of them from some light source. Very creative!
