Jackson Pollock Style Paintings: An Experiment with Watercolor Design

Students looked at various pieces by Abstract Expressionist painter Jackson Pollock. By observing his work, students noticed contrasting colors, visual textures, and movement in his work. Grant 6th graders experimented with various watercolors techniques including blending, washes, and using a straw to move the wet paints to capture their take on this famous artist!
